Munchkin & Forms Inspector Privacy Policy

Munchkin & Forms Inspector is a free Chrome extension made by Marketing Ops with Sam. It checks how a website’s Marketo tracking and forms are set up. This policy explains what it does with data. The short version: nothing leaves your browser.
What the extension reads
The extension only reads the page you’re on, and only after you click its icon. It looks at:
- the scripts on the page, to find Munchkin and the Marketo forms library
- Marketo forms on the page, including hidden field names and values
- the page’s cookies, to find the Marketo
_mkto_trktracking cookie - the list of network requests the page has made, to see whether Munchkin reached Marketo
- the page address, to check UTM and ad click-ID parameters
What happens to it
The results are shown in the extension’s popup and are gone once you close it. The extension:
- does not send any data to Marketing Ops with Sam or anyone else
- does not store anything on your device
- has no analytics, tracking or accounts
- does not run on any page unless you click its icon
If you press “Copy report”, the report goes to your clipboard and nowhere else. Email addresses found in hidden form fields are masked in that report.
Test UTM capture
When you press “Test UTM capture”, the extension reloads the current page with test UTM parameters (utm_source=mkto-inspector) so you can see whether the page’s form keeps them. That reload is an ordinary visit to the website, and the website’s own tracking will record it like any other visit.
Third-party services
The extension does not use any third-party services.
Changes to this policy
If the extension ever starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
